Our Story

Our story began in New York 1942 when Cyrus & Sylvia Mayer founded the Mayer Hosiery Company.

 

The brand was sold out of a showroom in Manhattan.  Women in NY favored the brand, and it became very popular.  Worn by celebrities, the brand quickly grew and was found in Department stores and small shops across the US.

 

Berkshire, known for an incredible fit and beautiful colors became the best selling ultra sheer brand in the US.

 Almost 80 years later we're still helping women feel amazing form the inside out.
